I approach knitting as an architect or engineer. The general principle and strategy is most important: what I do, why, in what order. How many stitches to cast on etc. is secondary. I always explain this in my classes.
All three shawls are with the same construction, so-called classical triangular shawls from the neck. But they have longer ends. It is quite practical because in this construction the height increases faster than the width. You can achieve longer ends with short rows.
