A good friend has sent me some cotton named Lily, 100 % cotton, 100 g/392 m. This friend of mine has knitted with two strands some textured patterns. I thought I could do a summer top with "brick" pattern. But then problems started. 

Yesterday Marianne (of Marianne's Mohair) came to visit me in Tallinn. We made an exchange: I gave her a pile of knitwear and she brought me new yarns.

Old good honeycomb pattern (known in Estonian tradition as "maokiri") exists in several versions. Once I made a sweater for my daughter and used a classical version: the main colour is in stockinette and the contrasting colour in garter stitch.

It is a collaboration with a young fashion designer Mariliis Niine. She liked my favourite stitch pattern and wanted something like this for her collection.
