This is about the top I discussed in this post. My initial plan was to make stripes all over.
I knitted in this way for a while and realized that it is too close-fitting. I know that it is not because I should have more stitches. Some cotton yarns have this feature that all kind of stripes (ribbing, brioche but also horizontal stripes) affect the fabric in this way. You cannot really do anything about it, so I decided to have stripes only in the upper part because everything is fine there.I will use the shiny cotton for something else. For instance, for the edge of some light shawl because the edge should be heavier. Something like here.
