I made the first sample of this scarf from wool-polyamide blend. The result was unexpectedly pleasant: the fabric was airy yet textured.
It became clear somewhat later that the stitch works well in other fibers, too. The very first photo is the first version and two last photos are of mohair-linen mix, completed yesterday. The stitch pattern contains one row that is the same on right and wrong side. Number of stitches dividable by 3 + 2 edge sts. P2 tog, yo, k1. This is it!
